The little grey squirrel is happily 'squirting' his way along the base of my garden fence, and past 4 black squirrels sitting up in the surrounding trees .....

My goodness, they are lively! I've never seen a black squirrel. We have gray squirrels and occaisionally there will be a red one. I have a couple of videos I'd love to share but haven't figured out how to get them into a post......

Here in Texas we have what they call fox squirrels.. they are red.. and just sorta laid back. OH yeah they run and play. But mostly they are fat and sassy. Maybe because they are city squirrels. But the squirrels in Arkansas.. they are black also and oh my goodness.. I think they have a pot of coffee hidden someplace because these guys are like yours .. just running and jumping and playing constantly.

If I walk out off the porch they book.. and wont let me get pictures.. I can watch them in the trees over the house and away a bit but they seem very very skittish. I asked John.. someone been hunting these squirrels..cause thats exactly how they react. It is Arkansas and it is possible ya know..hehe

They certainly look like they've been at the caffeine!! Folks here call the gray ones 'tree-rats', but I love to watch them play. Never seen the black variety though.
